DC Hemophilia Open - May 17th!
Our fifteenth annual golf tournament will be held on May 17, 2010 at the Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge, Virginia. The shotgun start will be at 12 Noon and played in a Captain’s Scramble format. The day will end with a delicious dinner and both silent and live auctions. Auction prizes in the past have run the gamut, from week-long getaways to sports packages to concert tickets.
HACA utilizes each dollar raised from this tournament to provide funding for research in search of a cure, produce education programs and materials, offer financial assistance to families with these expensive disorders, and for many other needed services and programs.

EVENT ATTIRE
Men must play dressed in contemporary golf shirts and shorts. Shirts with collars and sleeves must always be worn. Please note that any form of denim is not accepted golf attire. Women must play dressed in contemporary golf attire that includes no short shorts. Dress for the post-tournament dinner is the same as above. Showers are available for your use. Only soft spikes may be worn on the course.
SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY
Registration 10:30-11:30 am
All participants are asked to check in no later than 11:30 a.m. Because of the very full field, the start of the tournament can’t be delayed. In case of an unexpected delay on the day of the tournament, please call the Pro Shop at 703-580-9000 ext. 2225, so we know you are coming. Mulligans will be sold for $10 apiece (a maximum of four mulligans per foursome).
Putting Contest 10:45-11:30 am
We are pleased to offer a Putting Contest on the Practice Green. . Tickets to participate in the putting contest are $5.
Shotgun Tournament Start 11:50 sharp
A box lunch and refreshments will be available for your enjoyment on the course. Course contests include the longest drive and closest to the pin for men and for women. Four holes will be designated prize holes for a Hole in One. The Grand Prize for a Hole in One on Hole #5 is a car from Farrish Buick, Pontiac and GMC Trucks.
Post-tournament Reception & Awards Dinner 5:15 pm
Dinner, awards and our auctions will take place in the beautiful Old Hickory Clubhouse. Live and silent auction prizes will include golf rounds at some of the top private and public golf courses in the area, gift certificates to area restaurants and other unexpected and unique offerings.
PLAYING FORMATS
All foursomes will play in a Scramble Format (all players hit off the tee and the group selects the best ball positions to play out the hole). Prizes will be awarded to the Top Scramble Foursomes.
DIRECTIONS
From Interstate 95: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 158B, the Prince William Parkway, 3000 West, towards Manassas. Follow the Parkway approximately 5 miles to the intersection of Touchstone Center, Old Bridge Road, and the Prince William Parkway. Turn left to continue on the Prince William Parkway. At the third light, make a right onto Greatbridge Road (formerly Asdee Lane). Greatbridge Road leads to the River Falls community. Enter the first traffic circle and take the 2nd right off of the circle staying on Greatbridge Road (the main paved road). The River Falls and Old Hickory Golf Club sign will be on your right. Stay on Greatbridge Road and follow to the next traffic circle. Take the 2nd right off of the circle onto Chanceford Drive and the Old Hickory Golf Clubhouse will be up the hill on the right.
When you reach the clubhouse, please register on the back balcony of the clubhouse. Someone will help you get your golf clubs squared away prior to registration. Please plan to be registered no later than 11:30 a.m.
