Blood Buddies

Group activities for affected youth between the ages of 13 and 20 to allow them to build relationships and discuss common issues, and to help them develop relationships with affected adults so that they have a source to discuss issues that arise as they get older such as dating, disclosure, and group sports, college life issues. The last couple activities have involved going to the movies and safe weight-lifting.

An Afternoon in the Woods

When: May 9, 2009 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Where: Hemlock Overlook 13220 Yates Ford Rd Clifton, VA 20124

A variety of activities are planned to develop problem solving skills, teamwork, individual commitment, and cooperative action. With each activity, the challenge shifts, the stakes become greater, and the intensity increases—all of this to teach participants about group dynamics.

This Medical Release and Liability form must be submitted to participate.

(This program is open to adults, parents and children, who are affected by a bleeding disorder, please indicate name and age of all attendees.)
