CSL Behring recently announced that its 21st annual Gettin’ in the Game Junior National Championship will take place October 6-8 in Henderson, Nevada. This year they are bringing back swimming, and are also adding another category: basketball. Now participants will have the opportunity to choose from four sports: baseball, golf, basketball and swimming.
HACA has chosen two representatives from the chapter to participate this year: Lauryn Gray, who will attend as a swimmer; and Ian Fullard, who will participate in the basketball division. Congratulations to these participants and their families!
It has been 21 years since CSL Behring has created the JNC, the first and currently the only, national sports competition for children with bleeding disorders. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of their respective sport, participate in friendly competition, and have a chance to connect with fellow members of the bleeding disorders community from across the country. Additionally, educational seminars focusing on the importance of physical fitness and other related topics will be available on site.
