HACA and the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation are teaming up again for Camp Youngblood July 16-21, 2023.
Camp Youngblood is a week-long overnight camp at Camp Holiday Trails for children with inherited bleeding disorders, their siblings, and children of members of the inherited bleeding disorders community that reside within HACA and VHF’s coverage area. The camp is located in Charlottesville, VA.
Camp offers a week of fun and learning, including activities such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, nature trails, climbing wall, zip-lining, arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, cabins with air conditioning, delicious meals, campfires, a fully equipped Med Korner where kids can practice infusing, and more.

You should receive notice of eligibility within a week of filling out the survey. If you are eligible, you will receive a direct link to the Camp Youngblood application.
Registration and application deadlines are as follows:
March 31 – All parts of the online application must be complete
April 28 – All camp paperwork must be finalized and medical assessments due (this includes proof of COVID-19 vaccination). If you have questions or concerns, contact CHT directly by email or by calling 434-977-3781.
May 8 – Acceptance to Camp Youngblood and/or the wait-list will be sent out via email by CHT to applicants
May 15 – Deadline for written response confirming intent to attend camp via email from applicant to CHT
May 22 – Acceptance to Camp Youngblood and/or the wait-list will be sent out via email by CHT to applicants, including link to pay $25 registration fee.
June 5th – Welcome email from CHT to all campers with confirmed spots.
