Community Event Cooking with Chef Mike

January 22 @ 4:00 pm

Bad Blood: A Cautionary Tale

UPDATE: We will be cooking warm butternut squash and apple bisque with crispy chorizo and toasted pepitas, and white cheddar and granny smith apple grilled cheese sandwiches.

Throughout the pandemic, one of our more popular programs was the different virtual cooking classes. We will be returning to that format on Sunday, January 22, for a community cooking class with Chef Mike Hargett from 4-5 p.m. via Zoom.

Chef Mike is an Oregon-based chef with hemophilia who trained at the Cordon Bleu. He will be leading us through an easy-to-make at home recipe for the whole family to prepare. We will cook from 4-5, and then you can enjoy the meal following the tutorial. A full list of ingredients and the recipe will be provided ahead of time. Chef Mike can help with any substitutions that have to be made due to dietary restrictions or allergies. HACA will pay for groceries; please submit your receipt for reimbursement following the class. If you need help with getting groceries, please select the appropriate option on the registration form and we will reach out to you to coordinate.
