Join us at the Lawton Community Center in Chevy Chase, MD on Saturday, February 17, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. to sharpen your infusion and injection skills, as well as learning about school advocacy.
Nurses from Children’s National will be on hand to help practice on dummy arms. This is a great opportunity to start talking about infusion or injection with your child, or to brush up on your skills.
Marissa Zanno, social worker at Children’s Hospital, will lead a program on the basics of school advocacy. Learn about the importance of 504 plans, IEPs and IHPs, as well as your legal rights and options.
We will have drinks, fruit, and pizza for those who attend. An interpreter will also be on hand for our Spanish-speaking members.
