Community Event At Dave & Busters

HACA members are invited to join us on Saturday, October 15, from 11:30-2 p.m. at the Dave & Buster’s in Capitol Heights, MD. This event will feature speaker Debra Jacobs, Ed.M., a financial coach who will talk about “Financial Wellness 101.” Her presentation touches on values and money – something that’s really helpful to start thinking about early in life! – as well as specific steps people can take to build wealth. The presentation will focus on three foundational concepts: spending less than you earn, paying yourself first, and investing early and often. Debra will appear via Zoom, but promises that it’s a fun, interactive workshop! Lunch will also be served, and following the presentation, all participants will receive a PowerCard to play games in the Dave and Buster’s game room.

Members under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
