HACA will host a von Willebrand disease education event on Saturday, February 24, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. It will be held in Bethesda, MD where Dr. Claudio Sandoval, a speaker for Octapharma, will present a talk on preventing or resolving iron deficiency in people with bleeding disorders, especially females with heavy menstrual bleeding. This program is geared towards those with von Willebrands disease, but all community members who are interested in this topic are welcome to register. The luncheon will take place at Matchbox Bethesda, and guests will choose from a salad, entrée of either a burger, chicken sandwich or cheese pizza, and a dessert.
Matchbox Bethesda is located at 7278 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda, and the public parking lot is located near the entrance to the restaurant.
